USCIS recently announced that certain Ukrainian nationals who entered the United States at a port of entry between February 24, 2022 and April 25, 2022 could be eligible for a one-year extension of their parole. DHS will automatically review these cases for eligibility, and if eligible, will update the electronic Form I-94 (available online, here) and will notify USCIS of the updated parole date. USCIS will then send a Form I-797 notice to effected individuals that can be paired with their Employment Authorization Document, Form I-766 (EAD) showing category code C-11. This document combination will then serve as proof of work authorization and identity for a year after the expiration date on the EAD.

It is important to note that normally, EADs showing category code C-11 cannot be extended. However, in this circumstance, USCIS will allow it because the underlying reason for the EAD (the parole) is being extended automatically.
