California Increases Fingerprint Processing Fees for Non-Resident Insurance Licenses
The California Department of Insurance has announced an increase in fingerprint processing fees, affecting non-resident individual license applicants and insurance company officers and directors, effective May 1, 2024.
The California Department of Insurance, through its contracted vendor Accurate Biometrics, will raise the fee for electronically submitting FBI fingerprint cards (FD-258) to the California Department of Justice (DOJ) from $10 to $26. This means that the total fee for non-California-resident individual license applicants and insurance company officers and directors will increase from $59 to $75 for each set of fingerprint impressions.
Applicants should carefully follow the instructions for fingerprinting available on the April 30th Notice from the California Insurance Commissioner.
While Accurate Biometrics is the contracted vendor for the CA DOI, Business Information Group can continue to facilitate compliant printcard completion for non-resident purposes.
