Bulletin No. 3-2025 released on March 4, 2025 by the Arkansas Insurance Department instructs all applicable organizations to review internal records on its appointed Arkansas producers and business entities (insurance agencies) to determine if the company will renew each appointment. Initiating the renewal of a producer's appointment denotes that the appointing company has properly evaluated the producer's background history and fitness to continue to act as an agent of the company. This can be satisfied by running a new background check on each agent, prior to renewal.

Appointed producers and business entities can be researched by visiting the License Division page on the Arkansas Insurance Department website at: https://insurance.arkansas.gov/industry-regulation/licensing/.

Please note that agency appointments are separate from producer appointments; a direct appointment for the agency and for each producer doing business with the company under the agency license is required.
