Three additional NARAB board nominations sent to the Senate
The White House announced three additional nominations for the Board of Directors of the National Association of Registered Agents and Brokers (NARAB).
The President has now submitted 10 of the required 13 NARAB board nominees to the Senate.
The nominees are John M. Huff, Robert Suglia, and Lori K. Wing-Heier. John M. Huff is the Director of the Missouri Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration, and is the 2016 President of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). Robert Suglia is Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Amica Mutual Insurance Company. Lori Wing-Heier is the Director of the Division of Insurance of the Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development for the State of Alaska.
Previous NARAB board nominees include: Marguerite Salazar, Colorado Insurance Commissioner; Angela L. Ripley, President of VW Brown Insurance Service; Heather A. Steinmiller, Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Conner Strong & Buckelew Companies, Inc.; Susan Castaneda, AVP and Compliance Officer for The Hartford; Raymond G. Farmer, Director of the South Carolina Department of Insurance; Mike J. Rothman, Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Commerce; and Thomas McLeary, President of Endow, Inc., a Chicago-based brokerage dealing in employee benefits and life insurance.
All 10 nominees still need to be confirmed by the Senate before they can begin serving on the Board of Directors.
